Career services is an office where a student can come, a service on campus where a student can come to learn more about their occupational options and how to make those come true after graduation. There are lots of pieces to that. One is to help them learn more about themselves, their skills, their interests, their values, and how those might relate to their options upon graduation. Students also are using career services to find, locate and secure those employment opportunities, those internships, part-time jobs, and full-time employment after graduation. And there are lots of pieces to that. For example at Valpo, we assist students with their resumes. We want them to be capable of conducting an interview successfully, so we assist them by taking them though mock interviews. We have speed networking events, career fairs, mock interviews, I already mentioned mock interviews, but etiquette dinners and those types of things on campus that students can take advantage of.
